Doclink

Doclink is a physician-driven, nonprofit organization that aims to link AnMed Health doctors and other health professionals to Anderson County youth. Our goal is to educate and empower young people to make healthy lifelong decisions. We offer a wide variety of health programs that can be tailored for individual schools and their students. Schools that have used our programs in the past have shown a vast improvement in their students' overall health behaviors.

In elementary schools, Doclink provides an anti-smoking program called “Tar Wars” for fifth grade classes. “Tar Wars” is a nationally-recognized program and is supported by the American Academy of Family Physicians. In middle schools, Doclink provides programs on substance abuse prevention and nutrition & physical activity. At the high school level, we provide programs on alcohol, drug and tobacco prevention; trauma prevention; teen dating violence prevention; and nutrition and physical activity promotion.
